The Smart-Splitter was invented to preserve the advantages of effective log splitting and, at the same time make it safe and easy for everyone to use. The Smart-Splitter, comes with a 7-pound weight mounted on a slide pole, attached to a patented splitting wedge that can also be used to cut kindling. The unique design allows you to 'fling' the 7-pound weight downward. This strikes the splitting wedge with up to 40 tons of pressure, and drives it through the log. The impact never reaches your back, arms or shoulders causing no pain or strain like traditional axes or mauls.
